Mike McGlamry, Principal/CEO/Owner, has over 25 years of experience working within the construction industry and has completed numerous Department of Community Affairs Affordable Housing/USDA/Conventional Projects. Mike has also participated in the development of land and resort projects. From these projects he gained invaluable knowledge of the processes and procedures that are required for the successful development of a project. Mike is a licensed contractor in numerous states, is a member of the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition and a long standing member for the South Georgia Home Builders Association.
Trent Parkerson, Principal/CFO/Owner, has over 10 years of experience working within the construction industry. Trent graduated from Valdosta State University with an accounting degree in 2003, his MBA in 2006, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2010. Trent is responsible for the day to day operations of Great Southern and is involved with all aspects of the company including business development, project management, estimating, and accounting. Trent is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, the Georgia Society of CPA’s, and the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition.
As Controller, Amanda is responsible for the daily accounting operations of the company. She brings over 10 years of experience in the construction industry to her current position. Her responsibilities include coordinating, planning, and reporting financial activities to the CFO. Amanda is involved in all aspects of the projects from preconstruction to project closeout. She works closely with the project managers to ensure that all subcontracts, purchase orders, and costs are coded accurately for compliance. Amanda’s experience with Section 3, Davis Bacon, and MBE/WBE reporting is crucial to the success of our projects.
Frank Perullo, Sr. Project Manager, has been in the construction industry for 30 years. Frank’s duties include the overseeing of the estimating department, project procurement, project management and the superintendents. Frank has a vast subcontractor/vendor base and is very established within the construction industry. Frank’s relationships with the subcontractors and suppliers help Great Southern secure the most favorable pricing for our clients.
Tom Cook, Project Manager, came to Great Southern in August, 2014, and brings with him over 28 years of single and multi-family construction experience. Starting in 1985 with a custom home builder in New Jersey, he learned the business from the bottom up. Upon relocating to Florida, he worked as a field superintendent for a multi-family developer. Tom relocated to Atlanta in 1999 and soon after, his experience and solid work ethic propelled him into a project manager position. Having overseen the construction of over 3,500 apartment, value-added & townhome units, Tom brings to Great Southern a strong construction base. Tom is responsible for all aspects of the construction process from estimating through project completion, while all along communicating with the owners, architects, consultants, and field personal to insure a successful completion of all projects.
